Vicki Groom
Description
Born August 27, 1951 in Toledo, Ohio, Vicki discusses her Greek heritage and family background. She moved to Tulsa after her parents' divorce and attended Tulsa Edison High School. Vicki earned a bachelor's degree in education from Oklahoma State University and a master's from Northeastern State University. She taught school for 42 years, becoming a principal in 1993. Vicki also volunteers extensively, including as a CASA advocate and on the Child Advocacy Board. She emphasized the importance of respecting teachers and maintaining religious grounding for children.
