Janet Wilson

Janet Wilson was born September 29, 1950, in Cushing, Oklahoma. Janet's parents were Bessie Marie Falmo McMurtry and Bobby Eugene McMurtry. She moved to Bristow at age four due to her father's business opportunities. Janet attended Bristow Schools, graduating in 1968, and later studied at OSU, initially aiming to be a veterinarian but eventually becoming a teacher. She taught in Bristow, Stillwater, and Kellyville with the majority of her career being spent with Bristow Public Schools. Janet married Dwayne Biggs and later Michael Wilson. She has three sons and 17 grandchildren. Janet reflected on changes in education and community over the years.
