Will Parish

Willard Franklin Parish, born June 30, 1941, in Bristow, Oklahoma, shared his life story with Debbie Blansett for the Bristow Historical Society's oral history project. Willard's parents, Claude and Elnora Parish, married in 1939 and celebrated their 75th anniversary before passing away in 2014. Willard recounted his family's history, including his father's work in seismograph crews and his mother's job at Woolworth. He detailed his military service in Vietnam, his various jobs, and his role as a single father to four daughters. Willard also reflected on the changes in Bristow over the years, including the decline of local businesses and the impact of the oil boom.
